love 'em British accents
why am i talking abt British accents? well not because i saw a Barmy Army fan.. no.. see in Biochem labs, every fourth week, we usually have a research scientist come and speak to us more about biochemistry-related stuff, like reporter genes, plasmids, gene expression etc.. in yesterday's lab we had someone from the Biochem Department doing her pHD come to talk to us about genes that regulate flowering and.. i just loved her accent.... FCA and FCR genes sounded more interesting all of a sudden.. and she was blond and had glasses and from Cambridge although she dint study there..
but she's 28.. i actually dint even want to know the age but my labmates somehow thought i did, when i asked how long she had been studying.. i really only wanted to try and know a bit more about the scientific field and whether it was a personally-gratifying and/or money-making career being a researcher.. and she said you definitely have to be in it for the passion.. which was something i knew..
anyway i loved her accent so much and based on where Cambridge is, would be Essex or East England.. so when i go up to Christchurch, will go around Cathedral Square and the tourist attractions and try and find some Barmy Army gals with the Somerset/Essex accent..
