Otago XV to face the Lions

Carl Hoeft, Jason McDonald, Craig Dunlea, Filipo Levi, Tom Donnelly, Craig Newby, Josh Blackie, Grant Webb, Danny Lee, Nick Evans, Matt Saunders, Seilala Mapasua, Neil Brew, Hayden Pedersen, Glen Horton

SUBS: Jed Vercoe, Jeremy Aldworth, Andrew McClintock, Alando Soakai, Chris Smylie, Ryan Bambry, Jason Shoemark

that's a freakin good side by any standards.. the starting XV should be better than what Wellington and the other provinces have offered, with more near-All Blacks like Newby, Blackie, Lee, Evans, Mapasua, Hoeft, Donnelly.. plus Otago have a superb record against the Lions, and with Dunedin not getting a test match, this is the chance for Dunedin to celebrate a win against the Lions.. plus the Lions should put out a very strong side in the final weekend game before the 1st test.. Otago will be the toughest provincial side the Lions would have to face yet if Wellington was missing its All Blacks, and Taranaki and the Bay consisted mostly of farmers and more farmers..

the biggest concern for me is that bench.. no known names, but have heard Ryan Bambry is quite good at 1st five-eighth.. he's top scorer in the Dunedin club competition..

should be a great next three days from Thursday to Saturday.. i'm def gonna hang around where the Brits will be and just talk to them abt the game and Lions and Britain.. St. Kilda, Tainui Camp site, Octagon, etc.
