a golden weekend

well they're finally here.. in good old Dunedin.. and in a big way.. the Octagon's been closed for two days while a big screen and the Champions of the World shop with only Lions and All Blacks gear in the middle of George Street, along with a Works Infrastructure booth.. the Railway Station has become Barmy Army HQ with their media and internet men along with their fellow henchmen in their caravans..

but u can already feel it.. they're out there in their Lions, Wales, Ireland, England jerseys and kit walking up and down George Street, checking out the sports shops or Hallensteins - well that guy was a Brit hibernating in Dunners - mostly older guys though.. really want to see some younger gals.. and i will get better pics esp of fans tomorrow.. they're showing the Otago game on the big screen in the Octagon tomorrow so it's a good chance to meet the dream girl, a blond gal with the perfect English accent.. might end up being that pHD student from Biochem..

anyway, to the game, and well the buildup as u can see is getting p intense.. blue and gold is the combo to be seen in this weekend - well it always has been but like most New Zealanders they come out when the party really starts and this weekend's certainly no different esp when ur visitors only come in such fashion every 12 years..

the Otago Daily Times, apparently Australasia's best newspaper, has got an overleaf featuring the Lions and a special publication about Otago's glorious history against the Lions.. just makes u feel it.. it's just awesome.. and it's not gonna be back for another 12 years.. can just pass the exams.. this is once in a lifetime..

may Otago rule the lair!!
